Dvorkovich does not expect a growth surge in the prices of food because of the system “Platon”

MOSCOW, December 10. Growth surge in the prices of food products because the implementation of the “Plato” is not expected. This opinion was voiced by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

“We do not expect it is because of the operation of the system (“Plato”) of any surges in the food market,” he said.

In his opinion, the introduction of “Plato” will not have a negative impact on the legal market of transportation.

“Those who worked legally in the open, there is no dramatic change there, and any changes will be gradual,” he said.

Carriers will receive from 15 April 2016 the opportunity post payment system “Platon”, also said Dvorkovich.

“The system, “Plato” change is constant. The main change that will occur in the near future – the transition to post-pay. All who want to pay after the trip, you can do this from the 15th of April next year,” he said.

The government does not discuss the moratorium

The Russian government is not discussing a moratorium or the abolition of the system “Platon”, said Dvorkovich earlier.

“I must say, we are not talking about what we will be discussing any moratorium or the abolition of this system. We should discuss what problems are faced by manufacturers, carriers, network, and find quick ways of their solution”, – said Deputy Prime Minister.

According to Dvorkovich, the influence of “Plato” the price growth will not exceed tenths of a percent.

Deputy Prime Minister added that he plans to discuss the situation with representatives of trading networks and carriers. “I hope that we will find common ground on this issue. And cases of unfair, unjustified price increases, will be monitored and investigated by the Antimonopoly service”, – said Dvorkovich.

According to Dvorkovich, the introduction of “Plato” works in favor of fair freight carriers, ensures transparency and eliminates illegal part of the market.

About the system “Platon”

System “Platon”, providing the toll for heavy vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes of tolls on Federal highways, are available from 15 November. Until March 1, 2016, trucks to pay 1,53 rubles for each kilometer, in the future, the rate will increase. It is planned that in 2016 the collection of payments will bring 40 billion. The money will be spent on the repair of Federal highways.
