Moscow. December 10. Swedish IKEA in the 2015 financial year (ended 31 August) increased the total revenue (along with rental income from the shopping centers) by 11.5%, to 32.7 billion euros, according to a press release from the company.
Net profit reached 3.5 billion euros.
As previously reported, sales in the last fiscal year increased by 11.2%, to 31.9 billion euros.
The company’s sales growth in Russia in 2015 financial year was 14.7%. The group’s shops were visited by nearly 74 million people.
According to a press release, the main growth ensure the stores operating more than two fiscal years. “Record growth Germany showing positive dynamics of sales was recorded in southern Europe. North America continues to show good results, and the Republic of Korea – a new IKEA direction – exceeds all expectations”, – the document says.
In fiscal year 2014, the company’s revenue in Russia grew by 14%, the number of visitors to stores increased by 9 percent to 70 million people.
Total group sales in fiscal year 2014 increased by 5.9% (including currency fluctuations), to 28.7 billion euros.
Swedish manufacturer and furniture retailer IKEA has been working on Russian market since 2000. Currently, the company’s network in Russia comprises 14 shopping centers “MEGA” shops “IKEA”.
