Three thousand kilometers of optical fiber will pave between Kolyma and Yakutia


The project will provide high-speed data network and mobile communication 59 settlements.

MAGADAN, 11 Dec. Latest data network based on fiber-optical systems will be built between the Magadan region and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia); to create will be laid about three thousand kilometers of optical fiber, said the representative of the press service of the government of the Magadan region.

“The complex will include three thousand kilometers of fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) and 60 towers. Construction will be conducted in two stages. The first will be held along the highway “Oymyakon” (Kyubeme – Tomtor – Kuranakh-Sala – Kadykchan) and along the road, “Tenkinsky” (Bolshevik – Omchak – Ust-Omchug – Tent), its total length is 900 miles. The second stage will take place along the Federal highway “Kolyma” Yakutsk to Magadan, it stretches 2,100 kilometers,” — said the Agency interlocutor.

He added that the project will provide high-speed data network and mobile communication 59 settlements. In addition, the complex will increase traffic safety, in particular, will allow to more quickly respond to the challenges facing ambulance services, police and the emergencies Ministry.

As noted by the Governor of the Magadan region Vladimir Pecheny, the elimination of “digital inequality” is one of the main tasks for governments in the region. “Digital TV, reliable connection and high speed Internet are the three components, without which a normal modern life and the development of the territory, its economy is simply impossible,” said Baked.
