Moscow. December 14. The Rosselkhoznadzor from December 14 to prohibit the importation of fishery products from third countries via Lithuania.
“On the inspection results, the decision to suspend from 14 December 2015, import to the Russian Federation of fishery products from third countries, unloaded and temporarily stored in Lithuania, with the exception of production, which followed from the country of origin without opening the container in transit via the territory of Lithuania”, – stated in the message service.
In September 2015 specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Department of veterinary and food supervision of Belarus inspected the Lithuanian company engaged in the manufacture and storage of fish products and interested in export to countries of the EAEU. It was found that in Lithuania the current system of ensuring the traceability of goods in transit, temporarily in warehouses, is not transparent. In addition, this system does not guarantee that the products are shipped to the address of the EEU was originally intended for export to the countries of the Union.
The inspectors also found cases of certification of the state veterinary service of Lithuania for export to the EEU products of unknown origin or the products intended for use in the EU. “For example, some enterprises of Iceland, stated in the veterinary certificates issued by the Lithuanian service has not supplied its products to the EEU”, – stated in the message.
During the inspection the Rosselkhoznadzor addressed to the veterinary service of Lithuania with a request to confirm the authenticity of some of the Lithuanian certificate. However, neither the inspection nor the preparation of the preliminary report the requested information was not provided.
