Samara region again began to seek out lawyers for debt collection Berezovsky

Moscow. December 14. The Department of administration of the Governor and the government of the Samara region have announced an open tender for the provision of complex legal services for recovery for the region 989,4 mln rubles debt from Julia Dubova and/or heirs of Boris Berezovsky.

According to system “SPARK-Marketing”, the initial contract price is 170 thousand pounds (more than 17.8 million rubles at the CBR exchange rate on December 14). The contract is for 1 year.

According to the competitive documentation, the winner should provide a range of legal services aimed at recognition in the UK and the subsequent implementation of the decisions of the court of Krasnogorsk, Moscow region and Simonovsky district court of Moscow on recovery of these funds in favor of the Samara region.

Applications for participation in competition are accepted till December 30. Results will be announced on 15 January 2016.

As reported, in 2012-2014 the Department of administration of the Governor and the government of the Samara region has already held similar contests. The winner in all cases was recognized law firm at Pinsent Masons. In 2012, at Pinsent Masons was the winner of the competition with the price of the state contract in the amount of 400 thousand pounds, in 2013 – 340 thousand pounds sterling, and in 2014 – 240 thousand pounds. Contracts at Pinsent Masons was for a period of 1 year.

The government of the Samara region filed a claim in London’s High court in September 2012. Earlier, the Russian courts upheld the claim of the government of the region to Berezovsky and Dubova on business “LogoVAZ” and “AVTOVAZ” for a total of 1,063 billion. Under the Executive production of the Samara region were transferred to 74 million rubles, after which the remaining debt amounted to 989,4 million.

Berezovsky, at that time living in the UK, considered the claim unfounded.

Despite the death of the defendant in March 2013, lawyers at Pinsent Masons and after it continued to recover 989,4 mln rubles of debt.
