The Ministry of transport subsidises four flights from the Kaluga airport in 2016


KALUGA, December 14. /Corr. Alevtina Zubrilina/. The Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation will allocate subsidies from the Federal budget for the implementation of the four flights from the international airport “Kaluga”, told the correspondent of TASS in the press service of the air hub.

“In the list of subsidized for 2016 were the routes from Kaluga to St. Petersburg, Mineralnye Vody, Sochi and Anapa,” – said the press service. The subsidized passes for co-financing from the regional budget.

In St. Petersburg, Mineralnye Vody, Sochi flights are carried out from 2015 the company “Komiaviatrans”, they are also subsidized. To Anapa flights is not yet performed, when they start to fly aircraft in this area, not reported.

In August 2015 airport Kaluga received the right to perform international flights. Currently the company Air Berlin carries out Charter flights from the German Braunschweig in Kaluga twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays. Flights are available from November 1 in the interests of the Volkswagen group.

December 8 officially confirmed an agreement with the aviation authorities in Germany about the possibility of regular flights from Kaluga to other German airports.

International airport “Kaluga” was commissioned after 13-year hiatus at the end of may. Capacity of the air terminal complex is 100 passengers per hour. Projected passenger numbers will reach by 2020, 250 thousand people, and by 2025 up to half a million.
