“Soon we will hold the second meeting of the Board of free port of Vladivostok. Then we will try to run the Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Khabarovsk. Taking into account already existing in Vladivostok experience will try to make it faster and more efficiently,” he said.

The Board meeting will take place this week. The law on the free port will be given first reading by the state Duma of the Russian Federation as well this week. “We hope that within 1-1,5 months the law is passed, then we will distribute free port regime,” – said Trutnev.

Until that time it is planned to develop the model of management of free port of Vladivostok. “Now we are busy working on the management model, because the free port is not only the law. The port needs to be managed to make sure that he was attractive. We will address this model in Vladivostok”, – said the envoy.

The government of the Kamchatka edge has directed to the government an application for extension of the regime of the free port to the port of Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky. This will help enable the main port of Kamchatka in the Northern sea route, and you want to create in the region the territory of priority development “Kamchatka”.
