China has proposed a free trade zone within the SCO

Moscow. December 15. China advocates the establishment of a free trade zone within the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO), said Premier Li Keqiang, speaking at the enlarged meeting of the Council of heads of governments of States members of the organization.

“Just the narrow part we already agreed that we will instruct the Ministers of trade and economy to develop specific measures to establish a free trade zone within the SCO framework to create more favorable conditions for the development of trade within the SCO,” he said.

“The Chinese side offers to make use of opportunities created by the ad hoc working group on trade facilitation by the SCO, to make efforts to ensure that by 2020 the free movement of goods, capital, services and technologies”, – said Li Keqiang.

The Chinese Premier also called upon to find new forms of trade. In particular, according to him, as soon as possible to create a trade Association for electronic trade of the SCO, to provide the enterprises of the countries-participants of the organization of comfortable conditions for operational cross-border electronic cooperation.
