UJANG /China/, December 15. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence that Russian-Chinese relations are currently at “highest point”.
“At the moment, I think we are at a very high point of Russian-Chinese relations,” Medvedev said at a meeting with President of China XI Jinping. He thanked the head of the PRC for the opportunity “to visit a unique place – wuzhen, and to exchange views on topical issues of Russian-Chinese interaction.”
Putin thanked XI Jinping for his recent visit to Moscow on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory in may 2015, and gave the “individual greetings and wishes from President Putin”.
Medvedev described the relations between Russia and China as “partnership and collaboration”. He announced his plans to perform December 16 at a conference on Internet issues, which will be affected by the “urgent agenda for all countries”. He also said that on Wednesday in Beijing will be held the closing ceremony of the Year of friendly youth exchanges and the opening of the Year mass-media of Russia and China.
“Besides, there will be the twentieth meeting of heads of governments of Russia and China – the main working mechanism in which, I hope, will be prepared and signed many important and useful for our countries documents that have been agreed at intergovernmental, interdepartmental and corporate level “, – said Medvedev.
At the end of his speech, Medvedev thanked XI Jinping in the Chinese language.
