The minimum wage in Russia in 2016 will be increased by 4% to 6 204 thousand rubles, reported on the official portal of legal information.
MOSCOW, Dec 15. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a government law to increase from 1 January 2016 the minimum wage (SMIC) in Russia, 4% to 6 204 thousand rubles, according to a document on the official portal of legal information.
In 2015, the minimum wage is 5965 rubles per month.
Raising the minimum wage will affect about 700 thousand employees in 2016, of which 43% of employees employed in state and municipal institutions, and 57% of workers of real sector of economy.
The minimum wage is estimated at 53.6% of the predicted value of the subsistence minimum of able-bodied population.
