MOSCOW, December 17. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is ready and wants to develop relations with Washington, whoever the President of the United States.
“In any case, whoever it was (the new President of the USA), we are ready and willing to develop its relations with the United States,” – said the Russian President at a press conference, noting, however, that “we must first understand who it is (new American leader)”.
Putin said that the recent visit to Moscow by U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry “showed that in General the American side is ready to move towards a joint decision of those questions which can only be solved together”. “This is, in principle, a common position, which we strongly support, will support”, – said the President of the Russian Federation.
He noticed that Russia was never closed, “whom would the American people nor elected”. “They’re trying to us all the time, suggest what we need to do inside the country – whom to elect and whom not to elect, what are the procedures. We never do, don’t climb there”, – said Putin.
