Sands: there is no need in Putin’s interview with Turkish journalists

Many Turkish media have offered to allow the President to present his point of view, but the fact that it was, and so is quite detailed, substantiated, said a spokesman for Putin on the eve of his big press conference.

MOSCOW, 17 Dec. Requests from Turkish journalists in an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the deterioration of relations with Ankara did, however, need to do this because the head of state has repeatedly expressed its position on Turkey, said the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

“Were interview requests. Offered quite many Turkish media to enable the President to Express their point of view, but the fact that it was, and so is quite detailed, substantiated, and those were very serious statements of our head of state, which, in principle, are reflected. The need for such an interview was not” — said Peskov in an interview to “Russia 24”.

However, he said that the Turkish journalists accredited to the press conference Putin.
