Moscow. December 17. President Vladimir Putin expects that next year pension in the country will be indexed on the inflation rate.
“We will see what will happen in the economy. I’d love so that we in actual inflation 2016 at least managed this issue. Don’t know if that will work or not,” Putin said at a press conference on Thursday.
According to him, the authorities will proceed from economic realities. “We just can’t break the budget, why everyone will be worse,” Putin said.
This week the state Duma passed a law according to which insurance and social pensions from 1 February 2016 will be increased by 4%. The document suspends until 1 January 2017 the Federal laws governing the indexation of social insurance and pensions.
The average size of insurance pension in 2016 will increase by 4% (490 rubles) and will be 12 603 thousand rubles. The law establishes that doindeksatsii pensions will be held in the first half of 2016 taking into account the situation prevailing in the economy and the social sphere.
In addition, the deputies adopted in the final reading the law, suspending from January 1, 2016, the indexation of pensions to working pensioners.
According to the Central Bank, on 7 December, inflation in Russia in annual terms amounted to 14.8% after 15.6% in October.
