The dollar reached the mark of 71 rubles, euros exceeded 77 rubles on the background of falling oil prices


MOSCOW, December 17. Dollar rate to ruble during trading on the Moscow exchange increased in comparison with level of closing previous trading at 61 penny to 71 rubles, the Euro gained 18 kopecks and reached 77,01 rubles, surpassing the mark of 77 rubles.

Oil traded slightly downward to $37 the barrel, which could have a moderate negative pressure on the ruble, says chief economist for Russia and CIS ING Bank Dmitry Polevoy.

The price of a futures contract with February delivery of oil grade Brent on London exchange ICE fell by 0.88% to 37,06 dollars per barrel.
