The fall in retail trade turnover in Russia in November accelerated to 13.1%


Moscow. December 17. The fall in retail trade turnover in November accelerated to 13.1% versus 11.7% in October and 10.4% in September. As reported by Rosstat on Thursday, the turnover in November decreased to 2 trillion 366,9 billion.

The dynamics of November was worse than the consensus forecast (minus 11.4 percent).

For 11 months, retail trade turnover decreased by 9.3%, to 24 trillion 710,7 billion.

Sales of food products, beverages and tobacco products in November decreased by 11.5% (in October – by 10.7%), up to 1 trillion 145,3 billion roubles, in January-November – 8.9 percent, to 12,013 trillion.

The turnover of trade of manufactured goods last month fell by 14.6%, to 1 trillion 221,6 billion (in October – 12.6%), for 11 months – 9.7%, to 12 trillion 697,7 billion.

The largest Russian retailer “Magnit” in November slowed revenue growth to 16,95% 19,36% in October. For 11 months, the revenue of “Magnet” grew by 25,25%, while the company forecast revenue growth for the year is 26-28%.

The group “Dixie” in November increased its revenue by 17.9% (in October – by 19.2%), in January-October to 19.6%. The rest of the Russian public retailers don’t disclose sales results by month.
