The Federal Antimonopoly service suspected Ford Sollers and dealers in coordination of car prices


Moscow. December 17. FAS Russia suspects that the Ford Sollers JV and its dealers in violation of the law on competition in terms of pricing of the vehicles, said the press service of the Ministry.

Management FAS across Tatarstan conducted a scheduled audit of official dealers of the brand “Ford” operating in the territory of the Republic. According to her results, the Antimonopoly authority initiated a case against LLC “Ford Sollers holding” and LTD. “Transtekhservice-NK”, OOO “Soyuz-Garant”, OOO “CTO AKOS-Almetyevsk”, LLC “alarm Sollers Kazan” to signs of infringement of Antimonopoly legislation “by establishing a price recommended by the distributor”.

“According to the information received, the official dealers of Ford in implementing its activities were guided by the prices that were recommended by the distributor LLC “Ford Sollers holding”, which may indicate a violation of the requirements of part 5 of article 11 of the Federal law “On protection of competition” (the prohibition of competition-restricting agreements of economic entities), – it is told in message FAS.

The case is assigned to the FAS of the RF, since the activities of the distributor applies to authorized dealers operating throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. The hearing is scheduled for December 21.

JV American Ford and Russian carmaker Sollers is responsible for the production of Ford cars in Russia, import and sale of all Ford products, including vehicles, parts and accessories. JV Ford Sollers includes production facilities in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region), Naberezhnye Chelny and on the territory of the SEZ “Alabuga”. Capacity of sites in Tatarstan – about 180 thousand cars a year.
