The decision of the Federal reserve system on increasing the basic discount rate reflects the ongoing improvement in market conditions in the U.S. economy, the Finance Minister of Japan Taro ASO.

“This decision is a reflection of improved conditions in the U.S. economy. I think this is the adequate decision”, — quotes the statement of the ASO Agency Kyodo.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Japanese government Yoshihide Suga at the press conference stressed that the official Tokyo intends “with increased attention to monitor a further steps the United States in the financial sphere”.
