MOSCOW, 17 Dec –. The state Duma on Friday will consider the application against desecration and destruction of places of memory and graves of Soviet soldiers in Poland, said the speaker of the state Duma Sergey Naryshkin.
“Tomorrow it is proposed to consider the Declaration on the inadmissibility of the desecration and destruction of places of memory and graves of Soviet soldiers in Poland,” Naryshkin said to journalists.
Earlier it became known that the document was included in the draft procedure of work of the State Duma on 18 December.
The authors of the draft decree are state Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin and leaders of all factions. According to the draft decree, the State Duma appeals to the Polish Sejm (the lower house) with a call to end the war with monuments and memorial objects. Monuments, obelisks and graves of soldiers and officers of the red army who gave their lives for the liberation of Poland should be under reliable protection of the state.
“…The state Duma expresses its deep outrage at the desecration and destruction in the Republic of Poland of graves, tombstones, monuments and other memorial structures commemorating the memory of Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for the country’s liberation from fascism”, — stated in the draft statement.
