Moscow. December 18. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry for the development of the Far East until February 1, 2016, to prepare a document on creation of territories of advanced development (TOR) in Bolshoy Kamen, in the area of shipyard “Zvezda”.
“Until February 1, offer to do some stuff. In particular, how should work this our system of shipbuilding complex “Star”, you need to create the territory of priority development”, – he said at a joint meeting of the government Commission on import substitution and the government Commission on the socio-economic development of the Far East and the Baikal region.
“Waiting for the posting of documents by the Ministry for the Far East. You need to add the document to the government about creating areas of advanced development in a Large Stone in the period up to 1 February,” – said Medvedev.
Shipbuilding complex “Star” is being built as part of the far Eastern center of shipbuilding and ship repair (FCSS). The first phase of shipyard construction ends in 2016, the second and third stage – in 2018. Start of production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2016. It is expected that the shipyard will build vessels for exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits on the Arctic shelf.
Medvedev noted that it is necessary to construct all three phases of the shipyard, because “otherwise, this project generally won’t shoot”.
So he responded to the report of the Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov, in which he said: “as for the second stage, the final decision will be made in 2017, relative to a dry dock, depending, as would be the situation.”
