Ushakov: Russia at the meeting of the Eurasian economic Union will propose to hold the summit in Omsk


AT the meeting in Moscow the Russian party will offer to host one of the summits of the Eurasian economic Council in Omsk, in relation to the 300th anniversary of this city, said the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

MOSCOW, 18 Dec. Russia at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council on Monday in Moscow will offer to host one of the summits of this structure in Omsk, said the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

“They will discuss the issue of holding another meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council. We are going to offer to hold one of the meetings next year in the city of Omsk in relation to the 300th anniversary of this city,” he said at a briefing in Moscow.

How created the EEU

The Eurasian economic Union (EEU) and economic Union within the Eurasian integration 1 January 2015 is created on the basis of the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Cooperation in the field of interstate integration in the economic sphere in the post-Soviet space is carried out from late 1990-ies. 26 February 1999 Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan signed the agreement on the Customs Union and the common economic space.
