MOSCOW, 19 Dec. The government introduced a bill proposing to increase the maximum time before mandatory work 8 hours per day, if available, a written statement of the person appointed as administrative punishment.
“The draft Federal law proposes upon written application of the person assigned to administrative punishment in the form of obligatory works, to increase the maximum time mandatory work for up to eight hours on weekends and days when the person… is not occupied on the basic work, service or study,” — said in the explanatory note.
As noted in the explanatory documents, according to the current legislation of the mandatory work served no more than four hours a day. The current version of section 10 of article 32.13 of the administrative code provides that the time of obligatory works cannot exceed four hours on weekends and weekdays.
“Currently, the time limit mandatory work four hours a day significantly delays the timing of execution of the relevant rulings of courts. Thus, in practice, persons who are appointed administrative punishment in the form of obligatory works, they themselves take the initiative and seek to serve his sentence full eight-hour day”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
The government believe that the appropriate amendments will allow to reduce terms of execution of court decisions about appointment of administrative punishment in the form of compulsory works.
