Alcohol advertising is proposed to allow the media and the Internet by setting appropriate restrictions for minors. Iran also offers to lift the ban on advertising prescription drugs.
MOSCOW, 21 Dec. The expert Council of the Institute of development Internet (IRI) to support the Russian media offers to introduce preferential terms of advertising, including to lift the ban on advertising of alcohol and prescription drugs. Proposals for the formation of long-term program of development of the Russian segment of the Internet and related industries is presented on Monday at the first forum “the Internet economy in 2015.”
In particular, in the first quarter of 2016 to make changes to the law “On advertising”, to eliminate the ban on advertising prescription drugs on TV and radio. It is proposed to allow advertising of beer in mass media with no limit on the propagation time, including during the broadcast of sporting events and after 31 December 2018.
Alcohol advertising is proposed to allow the media and the Internet by establishing appropriate restrictions on the juvenile and the propagation time (7:00 – 23:00).
According to experts of the IRI, this will support the development of the media and telecommunications industry, as well as encourage the production and dissemination of high-quality domestic content. Responsible officers will be invited to nominate FAS, Mediacommunications Union, the Association of communication agencies of Russia and the RusBrand NPO.
The Iranian experts also propose to consolidate the efforts of industry participants to reduce the availability of pirated content. In particular, in their opinion, it is necessary to eliminate pirate key resources to implement previously agreed with industry standards for the protection of content, to create a single shared directory (register) of holders (or many registries, the activity of which is controlled by the state) that allows you to quickly search for rights holders, and to define the scope of the rights they claim and the extent of their use.
