Lukashenko: the EEU countries have reached agreement on all questions of the summit


MOSCOW, December 21.The EAEU has reached an agreement on all the issues of the summit, including the economic ones, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. “We are happy that we were able to agree on all issues, especially on economic”, – the Belarusian leader said when opening a meeting of the leaders of the Eurasian economic Union in an expanded format.

The Belarusian leader, whose country presides over the Union, noted that one of the themes of the summit was Kazakhstan’s accession to the WTO. Lukashenka reminded that the related documents have already been ratified. “However, there are also some things that, most likely, at the next meeting in Kazakhstan we will discuss these issues,” – said Lukashenko.

Lukashenko noted that all of the EAEU countries and not just Russia, there is serious concern in connection with the entry into force of the agreement on Association of Ukraine with the EU.

The EEU will go for 6 months on electronic Declaration of goods movement across the border, he said.

“In six months we move to a fully electronic Declaration of goods which will move within the framework of the EEU,” the Belarusian leader said at the summit of the EAEC.

All of the EAEU countries is a serious concern in connection with the entry into force of the agreement on Association of Ukraine with the EU, Alexander Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader called the main issue on the agenda. According to him, due to the fact that 1 January 2016 will start operating a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU. Lukashenka recalled that Russia has already decided on the abolition of privileges for the import of goods from Ukraine, but noted that expansion of cheap Ukrainian goods may have an impact not only on the Russian market, but also in other countries of the EEU. “We discussed this complex issue. We decided during the first quarter (2016), a number of issues we studied and considered what to do, first of all, Kazakhstan and Belarus, to support our ally Russia”, – said the President of Belarus.

According to him, one possible measure may be the electronic Declaration of goods moving between the countries of the EEU. Lukashenko noted that as an example, you can use a similar Declaration system, which operates in the trade of goods between Russia and Belarus.

The EEU budget for 2016 was reduced by 12%

At the summit of the EAEC agreed the organization’s budget, which was reduced from initial projections by 12%. About this informed the head of the Board of the Eurasian economic Commission Viktor Khristenko.

“Including next year, employees of the Eurasian Commission will not be indexing on wages,” he said.

In addition, in connection with the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU are specified in the program phased reorganization of the cabotage of road transport in the Union. “Kyrgyzstan joins this programme, which covers the period up to 2025 and suggests four stages in the liberalization of the admission of carriers to the national transport markets”, – said Khristenko.

He said that an agreement was reached to conduct the coordination between the population census cycle 2020. “I will remind that the previous census cycle we broke up for three years, which gave material misstatement of the information. And we agreed that a maximum of one year period allocated for conducting the census in our countries”, – said Khristenko.
