MOSCOW, December 21. The previous agreement of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan allowed the two economies to avoid strong shock as a result of the world situation. This was stated by the President Vladimir Putin.

“I am sure that if we didn’t have everything we agreed upon earlier and under which we work today, we kick our economies would be much more than today,” said Putin at a meeting with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

“Our strategic partnership is developing steadily despite well-known difficulties in the global economy that affect the growth dynamics in our country”, – stated the Russian leader. He noted that Russia and Kazakhstan continue the work on the approximation of the customs rules and technical regulations. “All this cannot but give a positive effect”, – said Putin.

In turn the President of Kazakhstan considers the decision on establishment of the Eurasian economic Union proper. “We had a difficult first year of the Eurasian economic Union were in crisis. We knew that there would be such costs, – said Nazarbayev at the meeting with Putin. Anyway, I think, right we did need to move on”.
