Russia will offer Iran a medical variant of the Ka-226T and other helicopter

MOSCOW, 21 Dec. “Helicopters of Russia” (included in rostec) during the exhibition in Tehran will discuss with the red Crescent Society of Iran the prospects of supplies of light helicopters Ka-226T in medical configuration, said Monday the press service of the holding.

National industrial exhibition “Trade and industrial dialogue: Russia – Iran 2015” will be held in Tehran from 21 to 23 December, under the leadership of Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov. The Russian exposition will occupy the area about 4 thousand square meters.

“The exhibition planned meetings and negotiations with representatives of government agencies and private companies of Iran. Representatives of the holding will take part in negotiations with Aviation Industries Organization, Fanavaran Asemani, PARS Aviation Service, Interavia. The parties will discuss prospects of deliveries of helicopters Mi-8/17, Ka-32A11BC, Ka-226T and after-sales maintenance of helicopters, including its modernization, spares and repairs, as well as training of staff,” — said in a press release.

In addition, with the organization of the Red Crescent Society of IR Iran (“the red Crescent Society of Iran”) will be held negotiations on the prospects of deliveries of the Ka-226T in medical configuration, said holding.

As stated by the CEO of the holding Alexander Mikheyev, in Iran today operates more than 50 helicopters Mi-8/17. According to him, Russia plans to strengthen business ties with partners in the middle East, including in the field of after-sales service and modernization.

He recalled that today in the middle East there are more than 500 military and civilian helicopters Soviet and Russian manufacture, while the main part consists of the legendary helicopters series Mi-8/17.
