Moscow. December 21. INTERFAX.RU– the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation raises the question of the reduction or zeroing of export duties for wheat, stated to the journalists by the first Deputy Minister of agriculture Eugene Gromyko.
“Today, our domestic price does not lag behind the world by and large, today there is a trend decline in world prices, the saturation of the world market. this is our task – to solve a question of export duties or the reduction or zeroing”, he said.
“Today the Ministry of agriculture this question is put, and this issue will be discussed in the government in January,” he added.
Gromyko believes that currently there is good for farmers, the price of grain to 10-11 rubles per kg by Kolosov cultures. “This is a normal price,” he said.
Russia from 1 July due to the depreciation of the ruble has entered a “floating” export duties on wheat at the rate of 50% minus 5.5 thousand rubles, but not less than 50 rubles per ton. From 1 October 2015 the export duty for wheat is 50% minus 6.5 thousand rubles, but not less than 10 rubles per ton.
According to the Ministry of agriculture, from 1 July to 16 December, Russia exported 18.6 million tons of grain, which is 5% less than in the corresponding period of the previous year (19.7 million tons). The main imports were wheat – 14.1 million tons. Barley shipped abroad 2.86 million tons, corn – 1.55 million tons, other crops -155 thousand tons.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of agriculture, the export potential this marketing year (July 2015-June 2016) is 30 million tons.
