Trutnev about working in the Kremlin and the Cabinet: officials are not required to agree with management

MOSCOW, December 21. Officials in the Kremlin and the government are working on the basis of General principles, but they are not required to agree with management. However, once the decision is made, “democracy ends”. This was stated by the Plenipotentiary representative of the President – the Vice-Premier Yuri Trutnev in an interview for the project “First person”.

“If we talk about working in the government and presidential administration, it is important to practice some General principles and not to violate them,” he said. “I don’t understand those who imitate the influence of circumstances, restless, hurry,” admitted the Vice Premier.

“In the decision-making process, everyone has the right to openly formulate their own position, it does not have to coincide with that of management,” – said Trutnev. “But democracy ends at the point of decision; after that we all move in one direction,” he said.

According to Vice-Premier, “the rest of ─ values do not fail, do not betray”.

“In this sense, the official is no different from other citizens,” he said. “The main motivation should remain the betterment of the country,” says Trutnev.
