MOSCOW, December 22. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin will take part in the plenary meeting of the first Russian forum “the Internet economy”. As have informed in a press-service of the Kremlin, “during the forum the representatives of the domestic IT industry, relevant ministries and agencies will discuss particularly initiatives and proposals that will be included in a long-term program of development of the Russian segment of the Internet and related industries is growing and developing through the use of Internet technologies”.

Putin himself has consistently focused on issues of the Internet community. In March of the current year during the meeting with Internet entrepreneurs, he promised to support the industry. He assured then that the state would seek not only to support existing projects, but also willing to help new initiatives by the Foundation for Internet development initiatives (FRIA).
