Russia has promised to take steps to reduce tariffs in favor of Iran, told the Mehr Agency, Minister of communications and information technology of Iran Mahmoud Vaezi.
MOSCOW, 22 Dec. Russia and Iran are discussing the terms of the signing of the monetary agreement, which will facilitate the exchange and development of economic and trade relations, Mehr Agency reports with reference to Minister of communications and information technology Mahmoud Vaezi.
After the meeting with the Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov he noted that “the barriers for future expansion of bilateral cooperation were reviewed at the meeting and it was decided to coordinate efforts to resolve existing problems”.
He stressed that Russia promised to take the necessary steps to reduce tariffs in favor of Iran.
Denis Manturov noted that there should be closer cooperation between Russia and Iran, the basis for which will serve as a “friendly relations” between the countries. He also said that the result “will develop cooperation in the sphere of joint production of goods”.
National industrial exhibition “Trade and industrial dialogue: Russia — Iran 2015” will be held in Tehran from 21 to 23 December, the Russian delegation it is headed by the Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov. On the area of 4 thousand square meters will house the exposition of the Russian companies that will demonstrate export and investment potential, competitive high-tech products, as well as promising projects of bilateral cooperation.
