MOSCOW, December 22. Moscow considers illogical and hostile intentions of the U.S. to expand the sanctions list, it destroys the relations of the two countries, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
“This is a continuation of this logic is contrary and hostile line against the Russian Federation, – he told journalists. Is a continuation line that has a damaging effect on bilateral relations”.
According to Peskov, Russia will prepare a response to the expansion of the sanctions list of the USA. “Of course, based on the principle of reciprocity by the Russian side first will be analyzed the accepted (USA) solution and then will be accumulated suggestions for possible countermeasures,” – said the press Secretary of the head of state.
The representative of the Kremlin recalled that in such matters traditionally is dominated by the principle of reciprocity. He could not disclose the period within which a decision will be made of countermeasures, noting that the discussion will be attended by the President of Russia and the government of the country.
“You can only Express regret that, contrary to common sense, contrary to the need for interaction, cooperation and so on, unfortunately, Washington selects this line, strongly contrasting with the needs of the time”, – said Peskov.
The United States has today expanded the list of Russian individuals and entities sanctioned in connection with the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced today by the U.S. Treasury Department.
According to his notice, speaks of “dozens of individuals and organizations” that will be made in four different sanctions list. Among them are people and companies that Americans believe associated with businessmen Gennady Timchenko and Rotenberg brothers, the concern “Kalashnikov” and Izhevsk mechanical plant, a unit of Sberbank, VTB and Rostec. In a separate list – functionaries proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics (DPR and LPR).
For communications with the Russian entrepreneurs in the black list includes 14 individuals and legal entities.
