Moscow. December 22. Russian companies, recipients of payments by the French counterparties, who were arrested in the Yukos case, will be to protect their own interests in court, have informed in a press-service of the Ministry of justice.
“The arrested assets are owned by Russian organizations-contractors, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation independent and independently exercise judicial protection of civil rights”, – stated in the message press service, arrived on Tuesday in response to the request.
“In the Russian Ministry of justice is aware of the arrest charges French companies Arianespace, Eutelsat and AirFrance”, – added in the Ministry.
Previously, the RBC newspaper reported that former Yukos shareholders were able to arrest the payments French companies Arianespace and Eutelsat addressed to their Russian counterparts.
“Former shareholders of Yukos, trying to recover from Russia’s $50 billion compensation by the decision of the Hague arbitration, was able to deliver her new troubles in France. Following the arrests of diplomatic buildings in Paris, they managed to secure the arrest of payments by launch services provider Arianespace and satellite operator Eutelsat addressed to their Russian counterparts. In addition, Yukos shareholders are claiming the arrest of “ownership” of Russia Air France”, – said the publication.
Today the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has promised that Moscow will take retaliatory measures in connection with the seizure of payments of a number of French companies on the initiative of the former Yukos shareholders. However, he refrained from commenting on recent media information that the former shareholders of Yukos managed to obtain the arrest of Russian assets abroad.
