Moscow. December 22. Russia will win the upcoming court of Ukraine on the debt by $3 billion, says economic development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev.
“I think that all of the legal circumstances on our side, our position is perfectly legitimate. The IMF recently asserted that the debt – sovereign debt, which absolutely do not apply the agreements on the restructuring of commercial debt, which the Ukrainian side implemented”, – said the Minister in an interview to “Russia 24”.
“So, I think our chances to achieve a positive judgment is close to 100 per cent,” he added.
Debt on Eurobonds for $3 billion, which Russia has bought for NWF at the end of 2013, must be repaid before the New year. Ukraine imposed a moratorium on the servicing of this debt, in response, Russia stated that it would defend its interests in court.
