The state Duma passed a law extending Amnesty

Moscow. December 22. The state Duma meeting on Tuesday adopted in the first reading a law extending until July 1, 2016 voluntary Declaration of assets by individuals and accounts.

Under the current version of the law, the special Declaration may be submitted to the tax authority before 1 December 2015. Over the duration of the Amnesty it had received about two hundred applications noted during the discussion of the document the Deputy Minister of Finance Sergey Shatalov.

“In order to provide citizens more opportunities to benefit from guarantees provided by the document proposed to extend the deadline for the submission of special declarations under the voluntary Declaration of assets and accounts”, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.

According to the authors of the document, the extension of Amnesty will widen the circle of participants of the Declaration campaign.

“The second extension, I assume, will not. Likely to 30 June of the next year is the last day of the Amnesty”, – said Shatalov.

The state Duma adopted the law entitled “On amending article 5 of the law “On the voluntary Declaration of physical persons assets and Bank accounts (deposits) in banks and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”.

As previously reported, in addition to the timing of the Amnesty, will also be modified. The Finance Ministry is preparing the relevant amendments. It is assumed that they will be taken in January or February 2016.
