Russian “Gazprom Neft” has previously expressed interest in cooperation with Indian oil and gas companies. Currently Russia and India are negotiating a joint search of hydrocarbons on the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation.
MOSCOW, 23 Dec. Russia and India are negotiating on joint development of hydrocarbons on the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation, it is told in materials to meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra modi.
“There are negotiations on joint search and development of hydrocarbon deposits on the Arctic shelf of Russia”, — stated in the materials.
Earlier interest in networking with Indian oil and gas companies to implement projects in the Arctic showed “Gazprom Neft”. In addition, in may 2014 at the SPIEF, Rosneft signed with Indian OVL Memorandum of understanding on cooperation on the Arctic shelf of Russia in the framework of an international consortium.
