Moscow. December 23. International rating Agency Standard & Poor’s upgraded long-term ratings of Kyiv in foreign and national currency to “CCC+” with a “D”, according to a press release of the Agency.
The forecast on ratings – “stable”.
The decision to raise the rating of Kiev follows the completion of the city’s debt restructuring, the report says S&P.
Another rating Agency – Moody’s changed to stable from negative the Outlook on the ratings of Kiev in foreign and national currency are confirmed at the level “Ca”.
“The main drivers of the Outlook change are the substantial progress made by Kiev in the negotiations with creditors on restructuring foreign currency debt and the reduction of systemic risk given the better credit profile of the government of Ukraine, which was reflected in the recent improvement of the Agency’s sovereign bond rating to “Caa3/stable” from “Ca/negative”, according to a press release from Moody’s.
