Don: the Ministry of environment does not preclude increasing the period of benefits for offshore projects


MOSCOW, December 24. The Ministry of natural resources and environment of the Russian Federation does not exclude the increase of the period of benefits for offshore projects in the Arctic. Earlier this initiative was made by “Gazprom Neft”.

About this informed the head of Ministry of environment Sergey Donskoy.

“Naturally, any measures to stimulate the work on the shelf – they need. But they (“Gazprom oil” – approx. ed.) while the us officially has not yet been addressed. The economy is growing in today’s environment, and, of course, we focus on how everything goes, on limitations on sanctions”, – he told, answering a question, whether the Ministry supports increasing the period of benefits for offshore projects.

Earlier it was reported that “Gazprom oil” proposes to increase the period of benefits for offshore projects. It was about the specication of reduced met rates and import duties for oil produced at new offshore fields.
Under current law, the special regime ceases its activity with the 2022 that occurred in the years when a number of shelf projects of “Gazprom oil” planned production.
