MOSCOW, December 24. Oil production on the shelf of Russia has grown in 2015 by 16%, reaching 18.8 million tons. This was reported to journalists by the Minister of energy Alexander Novak.
“Offshore production has increased from 16.2 million tonnes to 18.8 million tons,” he said.
The Minister explained that the growth occurred at the expense of Okhotsk, Pechora and Caspian seas.
According to the materials of the Ministry of energy, mining in the sea of Okhotsk increased by almost 15%, to 15,952 million tonnes in the Pechora sea – almost in 2 times, to 78 thousand tons, on the Caspian sea shelf by 12.3% to 1,639 million tons.
Oil exports from Russia in 2015 will grow by 7.5%
Oil exports from Russia in 2015, according to preliminary data, will grow by 7.5% compared to 2014 and will amount to 238 million tons, said Novak.
“We for the first time in 6 years increase oil exports. Oil exports increased from 221,3 million tonnes to 238 million tonnes. Internal recycling we have this year is less than, decreased by 7 million tons from 289 million tons to 282 million tons, but production of petroleum products higher as increased depth of processing,” he said.
According to Novak, gasoline production in 2015 increased by 1.6%, to 38.9 million tons, diesel fuel – decreased by 2.2% to 75.6 million tonnes.
Novak also confirmed that oil production in 2015 will be no less than 533 million tons. “In conditions of low oil prices on physical parameters, we have growth. We have the production volume will be 533 million tons, can be 533,3-533,6 million tonnes, 7 million tonnes more than last year,” the Minister said.
Novak stressed that the increase in production and oil export was possible due to the tax maneuver.
“Tax maneuver worked exactly as we wanted. We wanted the production increased to the amount of processing has decreased, exports increased, the depth of processing has increased,” he said.

Novak also noted that gas production in Russian Federation in 2015 will decline by 1.4% to 633 billion cubic meters, exports are expected to grow by 4.9%, to 190 billion cubic meters
“As for the gas sector, we expect the decline in production of 8 billion cubic meters, but the growth of exports about 9 billion cubic meters. That is, the decrease of consumption in the domestic market will amount to 17 billion cubic meters. Gas export is expected to 190 billion cubic meters, extraction – 633 billion cubic meters”, – he said.
