The Bank of Russia abolished the simplified procedure of currency exchange. When the operations for the sum over 15 thousand roubles the client will have to complete a identification form.
MOSCOW, 24 Dec –. The Central Bank of Russia complicates the procedure of exchange, if the transaction amount exceeds 15 thousand rubles. This is stated in the decree of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation No. 499-P.
When you exchange more than 15 thousand rubles, the customer will need not only to show the passport and to fill in the questionnaire. It will be necessary to specify a surname, a name, a patronymic, requisites of the document proving the identity, domicile, TIN (if any), and other information “at the discretion of the credit institution”.
The new rules take effect ten days after publication in the “Bulletin of Bank of Russia”. SFAS No. 499-P was published in the “Bulletin” on December 16.
According to the law FZ-115 “On counteraction to legalization (laundering) of incomes received by criminal way, and terrorism financing”, the client’s identification shall not be implemented when conducting operations with monetary funds, if the amount does not exceed 15 thousand rubles or the amount in foreign currency equivalent to 15 thousand rubles.
