Lavrov: the sovereignty of Syria was violated by militants from all over the world


MOSCOW, December 25. The sovereignty of Syria was violated by militants from all over the world. This was stated Friday by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov after talks with foreign Minister of Qatar Khaled bin Mohammed al-Atiya.

“We are interested and Qatar to Syria was a peaceful, independent, sovereign country that would respect territorial integrity, respect the rights of all ethnic and other groups – said the Minister. – This, by the way, the principles that we share not only against Syria, but also Iraq and Yemen”.

“We discussed in particular the situation between Iraq and Turkey due to uninvited introduction of Turkish troops in Iraq – said Lavrov. – Yesterday the demand to stop these actions was brought against Turkey by the League of Arab States”.
“Syrian sovereignty is also violated, because, along with the civil war between the government and the opposition, … are invited fighters from all over the world, including from Russia”.
