Rada of Ukraine adopted the state budget with a deficit of 3.7% of GDP

Moscow. December 25. The Verkhovna Rada at night on Friday adopted the law on state budget for 2016, the revenues of which exceed revenues 2015 budget by 15.1%, or at 88.1 bn and are 595,1 bn, and expenditure and provision of credit – 14.5%, 86.7 billion USD, reaching 684,5 bn.

As the correspondent of the Agency, the document was supported by 263 deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes.

Speaking at 4:00 Kyiv time on Friday with closing remarks before the vote on the draft budget, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the document was not perfect, but it to support them.

“I understand that this is not the best budget. The budget always requires more resources, more expense,” said the MPs A. Yatseniuk.

He also stressed that it was aware that the Parliament “will continue to work on this budget.”

“The deficit is 3.7% of GDP within the lighthouse International monetary Fund (IMF) against 4.1% of GDP in 2015,” said Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, representing the law.

According to the submitted text, limiting the size of the deficit defined in 83,69 bn, which is 10.2% higher than the 2015 state budget, although the results of ten months the state budget for 2015 was drawn with a surplus of 2.77 billion USD.

Jaresko said that the state budget for 2016 provides for raising the minimum wage and the minimum wage in two stages – from 1 may and 1 December – a total of 12.5%, which corresponds to the forecast level of inflation.

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine emphasized that on defense and security next year from the state budget allocated to 113.6 billion, or 5% of GDP, as required by the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC).

Earlier, the government indicated that the draft budget was developed on the basis of forecast GDP growth of 2% and the average annual hryvnia exchange rate of UAH 24,1 per dollar.
