Dvorkovich: Russia has no problem to refuse cooperation with Turkey


Relations between Russia and Turkey worsened after Turkish F-16 shot down a Russian su-24 in the skies over Syria. Against Turkey were introduced economic measures, as well as Russia has temporarily suspended tourist trips to Turkey.

MOSCOW, 28 Dec. Russia has no problem to refuse cooperation with Turkey, said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

“We have no problem to refuse to cooperate with Turkey… the Next step, which will be announced, the Prime Minister at meetings already announced,” he said in an interview with TV channel “Russia 24” (VGTRK).

“We will move consistently in this way until an adequate reaction, I mean, what the President said Russia”, — said Deputy Prime Minister.

Relations of Russia and Turkey is experiencing a crisis after November 24, Turkish F-16 shot down in Syria, the Russian bomber su-24. The Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a “stab in the back” by the accomplices of terrorists. Ankara claims that the su-24 entered its airspace. The General staff of the Russian Federation stated that the plane boundary is not crossed, confirmed by Syrian air defenses. After the incident, the President signed a decree on measures to ensure national security and the special economic measures against Turkey, including the ban for Russian employers from 1 January 2016 to hire workers from among the citizens of Turkey.
