Regional and Federal authorities need to work together, said Prime Minister of Russia at a meeting with Astrakhan region Governor Alexander Zhilkin.
MOSCOW, 29 Dec. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the government will continue to support the regions in 2016.
He reported this at a meeting with Astrakhan region Governor Alexander Zhilkin. “The budget for next year will be difficult, both Federal and regional, so of course we must all get together and calculate the forces and, if possible, to remove the dependence on imports”, — said Medvedev.
Astrakhan region Governor reported to the Prime Minister that the region is actively developing its capacity for import substitution, in particular, builds a factory pipe capillary irrigation for agriculture.
He said that this is done on the basis of developments of Russian scientists. In addition, work is underway on the creation of a centre for Metalworking, products it is especially important for the development of the Caspian shelf. Has also started construction of a plant for the production of tomato paste.
Medvedev noted that all these projects are particularly important for import substitution. “A number of tomato supplies and goods on the basis of their treatment in Russia were imported. Will now be able to replace imports with domestic production,” he said. —0-
