Trutnev: the port of Vladivostok needs a year to reach full capacity

MOSCOW, 29 Dec. Free port of Vladivostok needs a year to reach full capacity, having obtained the required number of residents, believes the Vice Premier, the presidential envoy in the far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev.

The law “On the free port of Vladivostok” entered into force on 12 October. It provides a one window system at the border, non-stop at checkpoints, simplified visa regime with obtaining an eight-day visa at the border, the regime of the free customs zone for the residents. Residents will receive tax benefits and administrative benefits. At the moment, the Supervisory Board approved the 9 residents of the free port and its mode has been extended to 15 municipalities of Primorsky Krai.

According to the envoy, with the adoption of the law on Porto Franco the experts gave estimates that in five years it will double the GRP of Primorye.

“As to when the port will reach its design capacity, that is, when there is a sufficient number of residents? Well, not more than one year. During the year we have to promote the port, required just,” — said Trutnev on air of TV channel “Russia-24”.
