China in 3 years will stop issuing new permits for coal mining

Moscow. December 30. The Chinese authorities in 2016-2018 will suspend the issuance of new permits for coal mining due to excessive pollution, reports Bloomberg.

Next year the share of coal in power generation will decrease to 62.6% from the current 64.4 per cent, announced this week the head of the State Department of energy of the PRC Nur Bekri.

In addition, in 2016, China will close more than 1,000 coal mines, taking out of service power, producing about 60 million tonnes of coal per year.
