Moscow. December 30. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision to impose moratorium on payment of debt of the Russian Federation in the amount of $3bn, taken during the administration of the country’s former President Viktor Yanukovych, said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“The government of Ukraine adopted a decision to impose a moratorium on $ 3 billion debt, not that we took and which were not than other, as a bribe Kremlin former Ukrainian President for not signing the free trade Agreement (with the EU). The Ukrainian government has imposed this moratorium on the payment of $ 3 billion and, primarily, due to the fact that Russia refused to restructure the debt, as restructured all other creditors of the Ukrainian”, – said the Prime Minister at the government meeting on Wednesday.
He noted that Ukraine is ready for lawsuits on this debt.
“Other conditions in addition to conditions offered to other creditors who accepted a Ukrainian proposal, the Kremlin does not get it. That is why the moratorium imposed until such time as either Russia will accept the proposal of Ukraine or judgement and we are in full riot gear, ready to court war with Russia”, – said Yatsenyuk.
