Moscow. December 30. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on granting subsidies for the development in 2016 the state automated system “ERA-GLONASS”, reported on the official website of the Russian government.
“The Ministry of transport sent a budget appropriation in the amount of 331,017 million roubles for financial maintenance of expenses on realisation in 2016 measures for the development of the system “ERA-GLONASS” and the introduction of new component systems to ensure information security, integration with external information systems and improving the accuracy and reliability of the system”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that “the relevance of the development of the system “ERA-GLONASS” is associated with the need to improve the efficiency of solving the problem of reducing the time of delivery of emergency messages about road traffic or other accidents on the roads of Russia to the emergency services”.
“The amendments are intended to provide funding in 2016 measures for the development of “ERA-GLONASS””, – stated in the message.
The system of emergency response in case of accidents “ERA-GLONASS” on the basis of GLONASS satellite was launched in Russia on 1 January 2015. Its main goal is to quickly provide information about the accident to emergency personnel.
