The CBR expects an increase of deposits by 15%. By the end of 2015, the Bank of Russia expects Deposit growth at the level of 19-20% in nominal terms.
MOSCOW, 30 Dec. The Bank of Russia improved the Outlook for Deposit growth in 2016, expects to increase its deposits by 15%, said Deputy Chairman of the CBR Mikhail Sukhov in an interview with TV channel “Russia 24”.
“I think Yes, deposits will grow. I think 15% is the correct figure that you can say at the end of 2015 about what will happen next year. I mean nominal growth of deposits, but we’ll see. This year the contributions grow faster than our expectations,” said Sukhov.
Earlier in November, the first Deputy Chairman of Bank of Russia Alexey Simanovsky reported that Deposit growth next year may be about 10%.
By the end of 2015 the Central Bank expects Deposit growth at the level of 19-20% in nominal terms, but a more accurate figure will be in mid-January, said Sukhov.
