Tatarstan Department of Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) will finalize the case “Aeroflot” suspected of inflating prices for tickets on the route “Kazan – Moscow”, not the end of the year, as previously expected, and in 2016. This was announced on Thursday the representative office.
“The airline “Aeroflot” has provided for the study of the Commission of management of Federal Antimonopoly service of the large volume of documents regarding pricing on the route “Kazan – Moscow”. For their study will require additional time”, – said the FAS.
As previously reported, the regional Directorate of the FAS holds is one of the largest airlines of Russia “the establishment of economically unreasonable prices for the transportation of passengers on a route Kazan – Moscow – Kazan”. According to the Deputy head of the Department Paul Kozel, in Antimonopoly service has received three complaints from individuals – clients of the company. According to the airline “Aeroflot”, the minimum fare for a ticket on a route Kazan – Moscow is 3.7 thousand rubles, the maximum value in this direction in business class – from 33 thousand roubles.
According to UFAS, in 2013, the Commission departments have already recognized “Aeroflot” violated the law “On protection of competition”. The violation consisted of “unreasonable establishment of various tariffs for the same service of regular passenger air transportations on the routes “Kazan – Moscow”, “Moscow – Kazan”. Then the airline has paid a fine of 650 thousand rubles.
