MOSCOW, 4 Jan. Russian gas supplies to the South Ukrainian Genichesk will be no more than 20 thousand cubic meters per day, they will offset peak consumption in the cold, told reporters on Monday evening the head of the organizing deliveries of Russian company “Chernomorneftegaz” Igor Shabanov.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has addressed the mayor’s message and Genichesk, on humanitarian grounds, instructed to study the possibility of gas supplies to help people survive severe frosts. On Monday evening the gas from the Crimea have already started to do in Genichesk.
“We received a request for the supply of gas to the city of Genichesk, because the capacity of the gas transportation system of Ukraine is not sufficient for heating of the city and district of Genichesk. We forwarded this issue to the higher authorities of the Russian Federation and was instructed to make delivery. Today at 22:40 MSK gas to the city of Genichesk filed,” — said Shabanov.
According to him, the supply will go during cold weather to compensate for peak consumption settlements near Genichesk. Estimated up to 20 thousand cubic meters per day, depending on weather and consumption.
The head of “Chernomorneftegaz” will not comment on the issue of payment for gas delivered.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of regional development, January 2 in Genichesk because of the cold snap dropped the pressure in the municipal pipeline, the gas pressure is not enough for Autonomous heating appliances at 1.8 thousand residents of multi-storied buildings and 400 subscribers of the private sector. On Monday evening without gas remained 1,5 thousand subscribers.
