The most effective measure to reduce the cost of the ticket or its stabilization will be zeroing value-added tax, said the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov.
SOCHI, 5 Jan. Juliana Grebennikova. The zeroing value-added tax could be the most effective measure to curb the growth of prices for tickets, said during a meeting on domestic tourism in Sochi the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov.
According to him, the price has increased over the past year at 5.6% and on average amounted to slightly more than 6.5 thousand rubles for domestic traffic.
“The most effective measure to reduce the cost of the ticket or its stabilization will be zeroing value-added tax. This not only stabilizes the aircraft from the point of view of a financial model of internal transport, but also will give impetus to the development of tourism from the point of view of reduction in price of tickets,” — said Sokolov.
He added that the Ministry of transport also supported the measure on the introduction of 72 hours visa-free entry at least in some subjects, in some cities. That also will be one of the additions to the aviation support measures.
“This will give a very serious support and our airports. Unfortunately, for many regional airports we see a decrease in flow by 15-20, and in some areas even 30% of it is regional. This measure would support including some projects for public-private partnership for the construction of terminal complexes”, — said Sokolov.
